At Sigurd, we believe that sustainable corporate value comes not only from technology and operating performance, but also from lasting connections with the land, the community, and local culture. In line with the "Corporate Promotion of Cultural Development" initiative of Taiwan's Ministry of Culture, the Financial Supervisory Commission, and the Taiwan Stock Exchange, Sigurd combines its employee engagement activities with partnerships across local cultural industries. In 2025, the company invested a total of NT$7.46 million in these efforts. The activities strengthened bonds among employees, introduced them to sports culture, the performing arts, and local heritage, and supported the sustainable development of Taiwanese culture.

Celebrating Local Sports Culture on Home Court

Sigurd invested NT$4.6 million in its 2025 year-end banquet, held under the theme "United in Strength, Innovating Globally." In partnership with Lioneers Cultural & Creative Co., Ltd., operator of Hsinchu's professional basketball team, the company held the event at the Lioneers' home venue, Hsinchu County Gymnasium. Performers included the creative and production team behind Taiwan's Premier12 baseball team, the Lioneers cheerleading squad, and well-known Taiwanese entertainers.

Professional sports play an important role in building a city's identity. Through this partnership, more than a thousand employees shared the energy and team spirit of the game together on home court, and Sigurd supported Hsinchu's sports and creative industries.

Exploring Hukou Old Street: Connecting Hakka Heritage and Local Arts

Sigurd invested NT$2.86 million in its 2025 Family Day, themed "Chill Town Stroll," held on November 15–16, 2025, at Hukou Elementary School and Hukou Old Street. Hukou Old Street preserves red-brick arcade shophouses from the Japanese colonial era and is one of Hsinchu's most important Hakka cultural settlements.

Employees and their families were invited to explore the old street, and the company gave out food vouchers to encourage spending at local shops. This turned the family outing into a chance to learn about local history and support small businesses. The event also featured performances and services by the Taiwanese theater group Fervor Taiwan, a visually impaired massage group, and a live band. Employees and their children could enjoy Taiwanese performing arts up close, and the performers gained more public exposure and income.

Making Culture Part of Everyday Corporate Life

Sigurd believes that supporting cultural development helps arts groups and local businesses thrive over the long term. It also deepens employees' appreciation of Taiwan's diverse culture and strengthens the company's ties with the community. Looking ahead, Sigurd will continue to support the cultural sector through partnerships, procurement, and sponsorships. Working with local partners, the company aims to make culture part of everyday work and family life and to help sustain Taiwan's cultural heritage.
